Hi Tommy, Lots of programs will tell you that you have many many faults on your computer and then tell you how much it will cost to get rid of them.
I've used a program called EasyCleaner by ToniArts for about 12 years now and it's never let me down once by deleting anything incorrectly.
There are other programs on the following link but Easycleaner is FREE and cleans much more than the registry.
I used Easycleaner together with CrapCleaner (CCleaner) and never have trouble with either program.

Hope this is of some use to you.

Thank you both, tried wak`s cleaner but found it not unlike the curates egg only good in parts.Could not stop it crashing when identifying duplicate programmes.

Methyl You are probably right about disk space, seems I have plenty-65% so no worries on that front yet.Toshiba laptop 3 yrs old but it is getting temperamental and hates getting up in the mornings.Again thanx to both of you for taking time out to reply.
