It's a bit of a shopping/law/home and gardens thing, hope no one minds.
Is it possible to get a CCTV camera disguised as a seagull garden ornament? Also, is it legal to have a CCTV camera on your property that is pointed onto a public footpath/road. (I haven't got one or want one, think my neighbours might have put one up tonight.) Thanks.
Thanks for that. I'm not 100% certain that it is a CCTV camera but he has moved it three times already (only ever so slightly and it only appeared this afternoon). He's trying to sell his house and the seagull looks ridiculous, it's life-size and is sitting on top of his hedge in an odd place (not there could be a right place for it).
He's having a fit about the parking - he took a photograph of our car parked (legally) on the road outside his property (know it was ok as the policeman told us last time they came round to talk to us about the parking). Someone else is parked there now though. Will keep an eye on the seagull and try to work out if it is just an ornament or if it is something else.
I would creep out in the midle of the night and remove "said seagull" and see what he does- if he comes a knocking and asks have you seen it "say what seagull" then you know hes been spying on you and its probably about "parking wars"- who sent the police round in the first place over the parking ?this type of neighbour is the pitts too much time on their hands and not enough to do.
