Computer webcam trouble.. :(

Okay so i am a teenager and i got this computer for christmas last year and i can go on this tab and see "audio affects". Well basically long story short it makes your voice different. I think its really cool but it wont work with my audio.. "line in" and i need to change it to "rtc" but have no clue how to do it.. Help? Please.. Thanks(:

saying what computer, or what webcam, or what software (including windows version) would have been relevant, and without knowing it's a bit tricky to answer.

I totally agree with Chuck it is very hard to help without knowing all of the relevent information eg OS , computer brand and model etc. we aren't old codgers just someone trying to help at no cost to you.
