I am a single professional female looking to get on the property ladder. I have a good income and excellent deposit but I dont want to take on a big financial burden and am looking for houses, min 2 beds with preferably a garden. My outer max range is 150k. My problem is I have no ideas about areas. My options at the moment are Leamington Spa, Cheltenham Spa, and maybe a couple of places in Birmingham like Edgbaston and Moseley. I dont have children so access to schools is not important but access to transport links, road, and rail is important. I prefer somewhere quiet. I was wondering if someone could offer me suggestions for some decent areas in these towns and cities. I cant always trust estate agents and the email alerts from online property websites are somewhat misleading about the areas. Any suggestions on any of these areas would be welcome.

Have you spent time on Google maps? The streetview feature is useful for spotting areas without having to drive.
