A fitting tribute to one of the best US presidents, who despite general mocking by the liberal "elite" managed, with MrsT, to win the cold war and bring that wall down?

Do you think they'll but one up of Mrs T next to him when she's gone or would that be a step too far?
Question Author
MrsT already has one in the commons lobby, the only one to have a statue whilst still living. But to answer your question, yes I think that would be a good move.
let's see... sold weapons to Iran (which was an enemy of the US then as now), sent the proceeds to drug-smuggling rebels in Nicaragua; various officials lied to Congress about this, but Bush - formerly Reagan's VP - later pardoned them all, so that's all right then.

Reagan's explanation: "A few months ago I told the American people I did not trade arms for hostages. My heart and my best intentions still tell me that's true, but the facts and the evidence tell me it is not."

Even Tony Blair would be impressed by that kind of slippery apology.
A more fitting companion statue must surely be an effigy of Princess David.
A more fitting tribute would surely be to knock down the one in the commons.
Frankly my damn, I dont give a dear.

yes I thought that would get the rabid lefties out of their pits!
you contesting the facts, Geezer, or just cross because anyone mentioned them in your private shrine?
Question Author
Not at all, no ones saying that any politician did everything 100% right.
how many of them sell weapons to the enemy? And fund drug-smugglers?
Great actor. Should have got an Oscar for Hellcats of the Navy.
They were both lucky to get Gorbachov in the Kremlin. A more peaceful and friendly man you could ever wish for. Thatcher got praise for dealing with the man. If she had dictated to the likes of Putin she would have been named the mercury PM which melted at room temperature.
And R1 Geezer, without the President's help we would not have re-taken the Falkland Islands from the invading Argetininans - he was a true friend to Britain and readily deserves this fitting tribute to him in the heart of London.
Dont want to be in your house, rover, if you keep your rooms above 38.83 degrees C. Are you a Nigerian with no air con?
Quite remarkable then that the Nobel peace prize went soley to Gorbachov and was not jointly shared betwenn Regan, Gorbachov and Mrs Thatcher.

As a matter of interest exactly what is it you think he and she did to win the cold war?
