Royal Mail have done it again ! left 5 small parcels from QVC on my doorstep, they must have crept up because I have two dogs that will bark at a pindrop ! I live on a main road on a bus route guaranteed if I had not been watching out every now and then the parcels would have "gone with the fairies".
Is there nothing we can do to stop this ? they seem to be a law unto themselves.

Getting back to the original point, Dee Sa's second post seems to mean that they are just dropping things off and charging her credit card. This arrangement has to be cancelled.
Assuming they weren't ordered
If you ordered a new TV DUDE would you expect it to be left outside if you were not in to sign for it?

The fact is, if you ordered whatever you order, you need to be IN to receive & check that the order was in good condition,! maybe that is not in proportion?

I think the mail just leaves these things if you are not in. Many years ago we ordered something which 'never arrived' but we were charged for. After complaining a replacement arrived a few days later. A week after that we found the original package in the shed in the back garden. We assume it had been left there because the weather was bad and the postman had used some initiative.
Why punish the company who sent the goods. Not their fault. You need to complain to Royal Mail which I have done on more than one occasion and the problem was sorted. They'll be doing the same to your neighbours so get them to complain as well.
Exactly.
You can't commit a fraud/theft on the original company because an intermediary (Royal Mail) is negligent in its delivery procedures.
I have to say our service is really good
They regularly drop a card through saying I have a parcel but I never get back to them and they re-deliver on a Saturday regardless

So its a thumbs up from Royal Mail from me

I have got an even better example of what a load of sh*ts work for Parcel Force, last year my husband ordered from RNIB an audio described digibox which was expensive, Parcel Force delivered to the correct number but the wrong street and it was just left outside the house and the woman found it when she came home from work, as she was a nice lady and she saw it was for a blind person she came and delivered it herself which we thanked her for doing so.I wrote to Parcel Force by recorded delivery to ask for an explanation and I didnt even get a reply.
Parcel Force delivered some tee shirts I'd ordered recently to a house in the village where my mother lives, I say house in the village because the only similarity between the correct address and where they left the package was the village name despite the fact that everything was correct on the label. I don't think the driver even tried to find the house. Fortunately the owners knew my mother so brought it round the next day.
Our not so bright postie knocked at the next door neighbours, we were waiting for an urgent parcel, she got no answer from next door, so was going to go away, i asked if she had anything for us, she said no, i asked her to check, yes that was it in her hands, ready to go back to the depot.
The parcel had our full name and address, so is it that they can't read, be bothered, don't know, but not the first time.
