Dog Trainers and behaviourists
Has anyone taken their dog for behavioural counselling or one to one training sessions? Did they find it useful? how much did they pay for this?
Thanks.

I can tell you that it depends on the behaviorist and the reason your using their services. Are you looking for one for agressive or sep. anxiety or scared of loud noises, behavior?
I can tell you to make sure that the behaviorist is certified, or Accredited which ever you call it there. They must have had specialized training in behavior problems in companion animals, not just a trainer with "years" of experience, they aren't animal behaviorist unless they have received special academic training.
I can tell you things to watch out for and avoid: People who guarantee their work, those who's primary methods focus on punishment, people who misrepresent their qualifications, people who train your pet for you.
Ask your vet if they know of any..other than that I'm sorrry I could not help you more.
