Forged Signature on contract

I am currently going through an employment tribunal today i received the evidence from my previous employer with a contract of employment that has a signature on there i did not sign
I am aware that is not legal to forge a signature but my question is what are the consequences of doing so?

Section 1(3), Fraud Act 2006:
"A person who is guilty of fraud is liable—(a)on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum (or to both);(b)on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years or to a fine (or to both)"

Thank you for your response I have drafted a letter to the court with copies of my signature is thy sufisiant or would I need to speak to the police about the fraud committed?

As far as the Employment Tribunal is concerned, your evidence entirely separate to any potential criminal prosecution against someone else. (i.e. you don't have to refer the matter to the police).

The tribunal will hear your evidence that the signature was forged then make their own mind up as to who they believe. It happens regularly, don't worry, just tell the truth and you'll be fine.
