After spending all day yesterday at Southend hospital with my 88 year old dad,I feel I must praise them for their professional care. Dad was admitted on Saturday with agonising pains in his abdomen. He was given an emergency op yesterday afternoon and it turned out to be a very angry looking appendix. The care to my dad and the thoughtfulness to my sister and myself was excellent.WELL DONE SOUTHEND HOSPITAL 10/10 *****

My sister and myself are so thankful to them all for making our Dad better. He is such a lovely man, never complains, a real joy to be around. We are so lucky to have him as our Dad. Bobbisox, thankyou, and I'm sure he will soon be up and running again.(well maybe not running)!!!!
^^^^ I totally agree, I have had a few operations and procedures over the years as has Carakeel, the treatment was always first class with the exception of one, Carakeel was "mistakenly" given a general anesthetic instead of a local anesthetic for an operation on her hand. this was particularly dangerous for Carakeel has she has died on the operating table twice before due to problems with the anesthetic, fortunately they managed to bring her back.
