Windows 7 Updates

For the past 2 weeks (every night) i've had updates to my computer when i shut down. Is this normal?

Yes this month has been a busy month for updates

I haven't seen that many, but there have been some.

What sometimes happens is that the installation of the updates fails - they'll then get downloaded again next time you login.

Same here homedeeth. Last night I went to bed leaving it updating to find to my horror when I got up this morning that it was still (apparently) updating and hadn't shut down all night.

Fire risk!! What's to be done or have I to stay up all night?
