The cartoon character ? If so, the name is Murun Buchstansangur.
Murun Buchstansangur was an odd fellow. Quite apart from his odd name he was also very odd looking. He was a small grey onion-shaped man with a mop of hair and clog boots. He lived under the dirty kitchen sink of an end-terrace house in a rather dreary, rain-swept suburb. Murun didn't have adventures, as such, rather he found himself with dilemmas, events and decisions to ponder as he mooched through the day with his friends and associates...

Muran was actually a germ.  I thought he lived in the bucket - but it may have been under the sink. Does anyone remember the episode when he had a blind date but didn't know whether or not to go as he had a spot on the end of his nose?  Now, whenever anyone has a spot on their nose, my friends and I nick-named it Muran Buchstansanger and it has caught on as an unofficial medical term!

Oo I LOVED Muran! Very odd.....

 

Does anyone remember the episode where he found an interesting, pink, squidgy thing in the garden? They kept appearing and he was collecting them - they turned out to be wads of cotton wool that his friend was using to take her makeup off lol lol; EXTREMELY weird but funny. Also, an episode where he was looking after someone's hamster but he had some friends over who either killed/exhausted the hamster by riding it rodeo style all night.....
