how do I delete data exe files

Hi ric, I assume you mean files you have downloaded from the internet using a version of windows?,  Open windows explorer, usually in programs>accessories>    now you can see all your drives, folders and files in a easy to use view, select the file or files you want and either press DEL or right click and select delete. DONT delete anything if you are not 100% sure what it is!! 

Note that you can't delete files which are in use at that time.
