my pal wife has brittle bones
they were moving some beds
when she lost balance
broke bones inboth legs
now in hospital
legs raised
with bolts in both legs
bandaged
lives on a second floor flat
any guess what her future would be
she is 74

She is still young enough to recover from the breaks as long as they fully heal with no complications. She will obviously need to be very careful in the future. IMO.

She can apply to the council for a bungalow or first floor flat for a start. She may be wheelchair bound for a good while. It is not a good outlook tbh. She will be prescribed medication to help her but she will have to take great care in future.
