can anyone help?

when i use the camera indoors with flash and download the snaps the subject has a shadow around it. It works ok without the flash but obviously the snaps are to dark.Help!

try one of the following:

- take picture of subject a few metres from any wall behind
- adjust your ISO rating on the camera (should be in a menu somewhere). higher ISO leads to brighter pictures, but more grain (it may be unacceptable, I am not familiar with your camera).

else, trying taking pics without flash, and then using brightness/contrast/level controls within a program like Photoshop to edit it on the computer.
