Taking your own snacks into the cinema...

I always have it in my head that your not allowed to take your own snacks into the cinema, so generally buy the kids popcorn and drinks there.
I am taking a group of kids to see Harry Potter at the Vue tomorrow and reckon it'll cost a fortune - can I take snacks and drinks in with us? Can't see anything on the website but it's not a great site since they updated it.
Thanks muchly

Of course Mum hasn't worked at pictures for some years now but we still do it and still to this day haven't ever been told we cannot do this.. Hope this helps... Regards, Frances
we will scotman - I never have anything, but for the kids, it's all part of the "experience" and if I didn't give them stuff at the cinema I don't think he'd maybe have friends for long!
Apart from that, it is a long film and it's not sarting until half 7, they will be getting pretty tired by the time it finishes I think - so maybe the snacks will help keep them awake.
