You could probably buy all of the stock in a local pound shop for $100.
It's a present for a young girl I know who's off to American next month on holiday
PO exchange rate today $1.567
HSBC exchange rate today $ 1.51
Both 0% commission

But HSBC will deliver to your home next day - think charge is around £4

But a least at post office you can inspect the note you are given.
We did this for a wedding gift for my niece, we got it from the exchange shop Lakeside. Whatever the exchange rate it only differs by a few pence.
I found convenience was more important, - I was there they were there Job done.
