Don't boil my cabages twice- I've never said it but I understood it to mean "I don't intend to repeat myself"

When my mother can't remember somebodys name she calls them "Oojicklepip". Not if their around of course.

Factor30 guessed right. Don't boil your cabbages twice means don't repeat
yourself. It was one of many weird things he can recall his gran saying!

I hate "cheap at half the price" being used to suggest that something is a bargain. Yes, it might be cheap at half the quoted price but, as things stand, it's still bloody expensive!!!
