update on me

after ending up in a&e on saturday with full on bleeding at 5 weeks 3days pregnant... and hcg levels were 176 i have been for more bloods today and levels have dropped to 168 so i have to wait a week and have more bloods done... they say its not looking good but not everyone is text book????

what do they mean? im not holding onto much hope but i dont understand levels i know they should go up a lot but they havent dropped all that much have they?

how long will it take to go down to zero so i can try again?

also could the miscarriage be down to low progesterone as i always have mid cycle bleeding and befre periods too.. im convinced this is where my problem is but noone seems bothered and i dont know what to do as time is running out... was on clomid and got signed off from hos cos i was pg do i have to go through all tests again to get more clomid

Honey - so sorry that you are still going through the mill. I take it that you are under a consultant? - if so you will need to go back to him if you do miscarry, he will want to see you afterwards.
You sound very hung up on your results and blood levels, which I can fully understand - but do try not to be so anxious about every change, or try to self-diagnose. As you say, everyone is different, and you need to try to relieve your anxiety levels, it may not be helping.
I'm with you in spirit, I know what a horrid time this is - keep us informed.

No.. i was signed off the consultant last fri cos i said i was pregnant now everything is just falling apart... got midwife appointment next tues so i will need to cancel that wont i cos i know in my heart its all over

where do i go from here am i gonna have to be refered back or cos i got pg will they not give me anymore clomid dont know what i need to do

They will sign you back to the consultant, I am sure. Don't cancel the midwife appointment, she can advise you - all you need to do is go back to your doc. Once you have been to a consultant, you can usually just pick up where you left off.

do you have an early pregnancy clinic near you if so ask tomorrow to be referered there. They are much more up to spead than the a&e . Levels should be going up but don't give up hope my daughter had same probs and now we have a lovely new grand child. If you are unlucky enough to have a miscarriage then your GP should refer you to the early pregnancy clinic for advice on when to try again and then monitor you. Good Luck Babe

honey......vaginal bleeding with a falling HGC firmly suggest a miscarriage or a non viable pregnancy.....as we both suspected.
HGC fall at no specific or set rate and may never return to zero and as for your progesterone levels,these will have been assessed by your consultant.

You must now be patient and keep your appointment with your midwife.

if i keep my midwife appointment im gonna feel like ive wasted her time, i dont understand how things work.... its the early pregnancy unit that are getting my bloods all the time i dont understand what i am meant to be doing they arnt telling me anything...dont think i can do this anymore

hi... just spotting now.... i rang the nurse at the surgery and she said its most certainly that its a miscarriage and she cancel my midwife appointment.. she said if when i get bloods done again next monday and levels dont go down by much then they might do a scan... but nurse at hospital said they wouldnt cos they wouldnt see anything... im just in limbo.. i got pg on clomid even though i was classed as unexplained infertility ..

do you think there is a possibility that i may be able to concieve on my own now without the drugs
