New, old Porsche.
'German luxury sportscar maker Porsche is mulling a reissue of the iconic 550 Spyder model owned by US actor James Dean, boss Matthias Mueller said on Thursday in the business daily Handelsblatt.
"I can well imagine that a modern version of James Dean's famous Porsche would please our clients," Mueller said. "I am fascinated by the idea of reviving this technical legend."
The 550 Spyder was built between 1953 and 1957 and was the car Dean was driving at the time of his fatal crash in September 1955.'
Which car, by any manufacturer, would you like to see re-made and own ?

If your pockets are deep enough you can get a restored E-type now in 'mint' condition. I can think of so many new, but updated, old cars I would love to have; one would be a brand new World War 2 American army jeep as seen in M.A.S.H. another would be a big, black Dodge (?) from the roaring twenties as seen in James Cagney movies. I could then get the kit to wear with it, - Homburg hat, spats, and of course a violin case for my machine gun.
