Three white choc and rasp ones would do lovely!!!!!!
And a glass of milk ?
better earplugs, then.
LOL. Oh dear, poor kids.

Seriously though, kids do scream when they play outside. I can't understand why people on night shift expect nice quiet days when they sleep. Have the summer holidays started then?
How about noise cancelling headphones?

Of course, you'll have to sleep on your back. If you roll on to your side, you'll probably break them.
Yep better earplugs. I find the best ones are 'Earfit'. A bit more expensive but they work. Others are just useless.
Have a couple of glasses of brandy!!
for sleeping on planes I wear an eyemask and the strap goes round my ears on top of earplugs, which provides further noise insulation. Then there's the gin and temazepam... Doesn't always work even then, but beds are easier to drop off in than plane seats.

(And seats in a moving train seem to be even better, if only they didn't wake you up in the middle of the night and turf you out at Didcot).
I always found a parent screaming at the kids to shut up was worse than the kids. Try earplugs. I also use blackout curtains and a blackout blind. I've heard a lettuce butty helps you sleep, try it.

I dont expect them to be quiet just cos im on nights they are excessively noisey. They bang things and literally scream
At the top of their lungs. When i was little
If id got over excited my mum
Used to tell me to tone it down. Its not just me a few people have commented how noisy they are. I posted once about doing my essay and ha to wear earplugs they are so loud!!!

Jj defos with ice cold milk mmmmmm x
I suppose I am used to living rurally, where there are few neighbours so kids can make as much noise as they like. But I still think that playing outside leads itself to screaming and shouting. I remember the games we played outside when I was young. Cowboys and indians and stuff (out of fashion now) and I don't think we were quiet in the least.

Yeah, i did make noise too, but as i say my mum or dad, or friends mum or dad would tell us to calm it down cos there were babies next door or people sleeping. They really are very very loud. We end up having to shut the patio door sometimes u can hear em over the tv and then pablo starts barking and i am about up the pole!! Hahaha...well ive been a walk and bought a nice healthy packed lunch so hoping i can at least doze off now x
I don't know what type of earplugs you have tried, but wax ones are the best. You can get them from most chemists. They are round and pink in colour and you have to sften them in your hand first and then push them into your ears and they will mold (mould??) into them and cut out all noise. I've used them in the past when I've had noisy neighbours and they did work. When I was a kid, my parents wouldn't allow me to be too noisy as a mark of respect for others and I still had a good childhood. There isn't that much consideration today I'm afraid.
