What is the best freebie you have ever had?.
It could be a competion win or an inheritence.
Mine was my first car when i passed my test at 21, i had it for my 21st birthday, from my grandparents i loved my little mini i had it for 9 years.

we had the house we currently live in built. when it was completed we had a firm come in to fit sliding mirror door wardrobes in all the bedrooms, which they did, and then forgot to send us the bill. we kept the money aside for a few years just in case but after 28 years i think we can safely say they're freebie.

I won a competition in The Daily Star some time ago, it was one of those silly ones where you had to match certain types of people with certain types of holiday, then thinking to myself "nobody ever wins these things" I posted the entry anyway then about a month later a letter from Express Newspapers dropped through the door telling me I had won an all expenses paid two week holiday for 2 people to Marrakesh in a 4 star hotel plus £500 spending money, not a bad deal for the price of a second class stamp! I have entered many competitions since but all with no luck!

Aged 17, won a European tour from Barclays Bank. Magnificent! Imagine a coachload of mixed 17 year olds in 1974....you could barley shut your suitcase for the platform n flares.
I wonder where we all ended up?

I won £5000 of home improvements from Southern Electricity which included a condensing boiler, washing machine, new kitchen hob etc. I was out washing the car and came in and said to my husband I have just thought of the winning slogan...... and I was right!

Won a trip for two to Turkey.
Best thing now is everytime I hear my grandchildren say hello Grandad.
Those words mean more to me than anything and it,s free !
