What Do You Enjoy Most About Summer

When the weather is good enjoy sitting in the garden reading
enjoying the peace and tranquility breakfast in early morning sunshine and willing the plants to bloom, must admit have been able to do this so far, what do you enjoy.

What summer ? we haven't had one yet, but when it does happen ill enjoy having tea in the garden with a nice glass of rioja, picking my home grown fruit and veg and oh, swatting those nasty wasps, and maybe a lazy days fishing in the sunshine.

Most hot days you find me running around the back yard screaming as I am chased by bees and the like!

But I do like to be able to sit out, with a glass of wine and my book.

Lighter evenings

Getting out on the bike and being able to go freshwater swimming in the mountain lakes. Up until a couple of years ago I could tolerate the cold water from February to November but with with the last two winters, no way!

Not having to put the heating on and not having to shovel snow out of the driveway either.

I'm going to put a dampener on here! I enjoy it most when it's over!! It's too hot for me, there are too many nasty flying critters, too light to sleep at night and lie in in the morning, noisy kids playing out till all hours, nothing good on TV. I love autumn though - season of mists and mellow fruitfulness -roll on !

summer seems to bring out all the noisy DIY freaks where I live. So you don't
get a lot of peace in your garden.
