Has anybody had endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy surgery for treatment of sweating/blushing/  If so how do you go about getting it done, is it available on nhs do you have to go through your gp, how much does it cost?

Hi there, I haven't had it done myself but did a bit of internet research and came across this website, which I hope will be useful for you:

In a nutshell this website tells you, that it *is* available on the NHS (yay!), your doctor will be able to refer you and if you opt to go for private treatment you are looking at paying around �4000.  Here is the link for you to browse at your leisure:

I work in the Operating Theatre where we perform them on an irregular basis i.e.about 2 per month, nothing for a couple of months then up to 5 or 6 a month.

It is available on the NHS, takes roughly 15/20 minutes(obviusly longer if both sides(bilateral) are done and the effects of stopping the palms sweating are by all accounts almost instantaneous.

Speak to your GP who will advise you further.
