have just taken delivery of eight books, the summer collection of the tv book club, all for the princely sum of £25..and free delivery! i'm amazed at the price, and the books look really good.
anyone else got them, read them, comments??

Thanks for that - I looked at the best reads list and have read a couple of those but nothing on the Summer reads I'm afraid. Let me know how you get on - we're always looking for a good read at my book group :D

yes, i had a look through all the other collections too and have actually only read 'room' which i thought was a great read. i got a kindle last week and have been reading downloads on that but these books are such good value i couldn't resist them. if these go down well i think i may order some more.
have you read 'middlesex'? it's a really good book, if not my favourite, not about the county but about a person born with an indeterminate gender. here's a link:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middlesex_(

Do you use the library? Free books, free ebooks (at some libraries).

I regularly use the Library but also like to buy books (don't have a Kindle).
I read "Room" - it was a book group read and provoked probably the best discussion we have had. I also read "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" which I found very interesting.
Not read "Middlesex" but will bear that one in mind, thanks
