I have recently been getting unwanted texts and phone calls from an unknown number to my mobile phone. I am with Orange. How can I prevent this?

Unsolicited marketing calls from the UK (or from UK companies using overseas call centres, but not from actual overseas companies) can be blocked by registering with the Telephone Preference Service. That applies to both landline or mobile numbers:

Under Ofcom rules, companies should cease sending you unsolicited texts if you reply with the message 'STOP'.
