How's it going?

I have a friend on facebook counting the days....

I give the boys 1 job to do a day. Eldest sons job today is to water the plants (in the garden) and you'd think I asked him to sacrifice a lamb....

Oh well....just another 6 weeks to go...

They can bring tents, sleeping bags, cook on barby & swim indoors - at their own risk for free....

alas, I'll be nicked for child exploitation :(
my two would love that tambo - i'll get them on the next train.........
tamborine, you will have all our children/grand children queueing at your door..:)

Tambo....if you were close enough I'd send them to you. Youngest is great if you want someone to follow you round talking broccoli. Oldest's voice has broken so make sure you have your hearing aid in :-)
Tambo, mine are just getting their wellie boots on, they'll be with you soon! :p

Hahaha ummmm, bloody brilliant! :)
Send them to Windsor Stn & tell me tonite how many I'm getting.....

My husband says on the girls' 13th birthday he's off to join the Shaolin Monks and he'll come back when theiy're 21 !

We do get odd flashes of teenage behaviour and I remember what my sister and I were like so Have some idea of what's to come. Will enjoy this peaceful Best Friends Forever stage for as long as it lasts though.
Grand children say WOW, THEY ARE PACKING A BAG EACH!!!!hahaha,,,I wish!!

My OH pats me on the head, gives me a kiss, and says 'have a good day'...with that evil look in his eyes.....

He didn't realise how much he liked working until they hit the teens :-(
Hmmm not liking the sound of this....

They are now big enough to defeat Mum or Dad in a two on one battle as OH found out to his cost when they ganged up on him in the park!!
WE've got our two eldest grandchildren from Sunday for 2 or 3 weeks, then they are going on hols with Mum & Dad.
They don't usually play us up, if the weather is good it's down at the hut swimming and crabbing, if it rains it's House of Marbles or the Robert Lenkoweitz exhibition complete with mummified tramp!(free!).
Daughter complains that in Cambridge everything costs an arm and a leg whereas down here there are lots of free things to do
My g-kids wont stay cos they think my place is haunted.....bet your kids would luv that attraction; mine are wimps !
ummmm's right sqad - far too expensive. Not only that but I don't think they do things the kids want to do. When I asked they all said 'Bo-o-o-ring.' You can't be much more explicit than that!
our summer club is great but it does cost a lot. They take the kids to the beach, bowling, activity centres, etc etc and they have access to lots of stuff there, go karts, bikes, outdoor space, they have water fights etc - they have a theme each week and feature activities round that - e.g the olympics or pirates or explorers. They provide activities for kids between 5 and 12 and seem to get the balance right. It does cost a small fortune though - best part of £1k for my two for the 5 weeks, but if I wanted to, I could leave them there between 8am and 6pm

The also put on movies and have wii, xbox and pc's for rainy days as well as craft activities etc.
