I had forgotten how exhausing 11 year old girls were....

11 going on 22.
I have my niece for a few days. I am knackered & fast becoming skint. She is gorgeous & hilarious, but eats like a horse, has the stamina of a gladiator & if her mother knew......

So far we have done 2 parties, 2 dvds, 2 shopping trips, 2 lunches out, 1 breakfast out & one evening meal out. Later we have swimming & the cinema. She sneaked out to the restaurant in a pair of my 4" heels & is trying to persuade me to take her to see a 15 film.

Oh how she reminds me of my sister & my daughter, both at that age.
I'm having a fab time ;-) I just wish she had more 'quiet' moments.......

She is beautiful.... I may have mentioned that. I have seen her each of the last 3 days. She was spectacularly sick all over Tara-ra-bum-ti-eh. Projectile vomiting doesn't even come near. I had just handed her over... lucky escape :-)

I bumped into an old health visitor colleague yesterday in the illustrious Asdas... she said to my niece "don't let her give you any vodka". I mean, as if. even I'm not that bad. :-(

Although when my friend came to visit, I did ask her to bring Valium for me and downers for The Devil Child....

Only until tomorrow. Then I take her home to Norfolk. Then I shall stay in Norfolk on the beach, on my own, with a good book and just chill out......! And maybe a quick chilled pinot at Le Strange Arms before returning home to peace, ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ;-)

(All kidding aside, I am actually enjoying it).

I shall find a nice shaded dune and do lots of people watching. I may have a paddle. I've always been a beach fan, and Norfolk is better than Lincolnshire for its beaches.
