Do you think the story of someone in Australia having a bomb put round their neck would have made front page news here were it not for the fact that she is a pretty teenage girl the main photo (in the media today) of whom depicts her sizeable breasts prominently on show?

Yes, there was a post on AB yesterday, and News reports long before any picture of the girl had been published. It is a bizarre act, and newsworthy in its own right. Young blonde is just topping on the cake for the tabloids.

It was as gromit said on here yesterday, its a truly horrible story. A fake bomb, but think of the poor lass, she must have been terrified.

I would have thought it would be world-wide news if she had been a simple 'plain Jane'.

This must have been absolutely horrific for the poor girl, be her beautiful, plain, flat-chested, black or white, no matter what.

To think it was just because she was pleasing on the eye, is totally 'out of order'.

Whether it's as you said or not chirpy, what worries me now is if there are any copy-cat followers that would do similar - hoax or for real, doesn't bear thinking about does it?
