hotels in/around Bath

hiya, going away for the weekend soon. Have narrowed it down to the bath area, and i want a resonably posh hotel (with swimming pool/spa) either in or around bath. No more than £125 per night per room
Anyone any suggestions?

I also looked at that but the cheapest room I could find was £180, looks lovely though.

We hired a cottage just outside Bath when we visited so i can't help with hotel recommendations but I just wanted to congratulate you on your choice. Bath is a beautiful and interesting city.

Forget the sap at the hotel and treat yourself to an evening session at he Bath Spa http://www.thermaebathspa.com.

If you can, avoid driving in Bath. Either stay in the city centre and walk everywhere or if you do stay on the outskirts, use the park and ride duirng the daytime. Parking is difficult and expensive.

There are beautiful walks alongside the river and canal and of course the open top bus can be useful for moving around the historic sights.

Whatever you do have a lovely time.

We used an open air car park somewhere close to the train station which had level access to the street. There is also a modern shopping centre called Southgates I think it was, with a car park and lift access. I don't recall the exact arrangements of spaces for disabled people or the costs but I'm sure these two would both be suitable.

It is a busy congested city and if you can stay in the centre you'll save yourself the problem of parking.

I recently stayed at Rudloe Hall. We had a modern executive suite (upgraded FOC from a double room) which was very nice indeed. I believe they have a new spa but I didn't use it. Main building is going to be refurbished soon so is rather scruffy and dated. But, the staff were very helpful and breakfast was excellent. I would eat other meals out when I return next year.
