In the library, you can sail the seven seas,
In the library, you can put your mind at ease.
We want you, we want you, we want you as a new recruit.
Ok, one cannot really sail in here, not sailing as I know it... But there are plenty of wet people here today :-(

Junior 1 is desperate for his next stack of books and we haven't been able to get there as it was half day yesterday when we were able to go and we weren't back until after 6 tonight and still had dinner to get. I forgot what day it was and we could have been there!!!!
lol - we will be going up tomorrow am for his next fix - so far in the holidays, we have been 4 times and they have both had between 4 and 6 books each and they have read the lot - including swapping some and reading some more that we have bought. Funny to think that some kids wont have looked at a book for the entire summer.
Are they doing the Circus Stars Challenge? The prizes aren't great this year, but the kids still enjoy the race to see who finishes first. I can't understand when parents bring their kids in and refuse to let them borrow anything, just cos mum or dad can't be bothered to bring it back! I consider that child cruelty, I loved nothing better than getting a fresh pile of books from the library every week when I was a kid. Good on your boys for appreciating the simple things Annie :)
cheers Karen - yes they are doing the circus thing - they could have had the whole thing stamped after the first week. However, the librarian explained that they are supposed to do one a week, she stamped three books worth though and then did the other three last week. They go to the chatterbooks group too, so she knows that they read a lot. Still, they have had free swimming out of it for weeks and still have a couple of stamps to redeem :o) I have to use the library now as the house is bursting at the seams with books and my wallet is getting very empty too. No1 son, got a book token from a friend for his birthday and No 2 son was so jealous when we were in waterstones that he was almost crying!
