Maggots YUCK!

I put my bin bags by the front door last night, ready to take them out, and when I got up this morning the carpet had loads of maggots everywhere! AARGH! I have hoovered them up, and the ones that had made it to the carpet edge were really hard to get out of the crevice between the wall. Thing is, I am now worrying that there are maggots everywhere. Is there anything I can do to find the ones which may have got away, or to spray etc?!

Did the bag leak? And I should imagine if there were any stray ones, that'll soon be resolved in a few days when they become flies.

I know!! But I didn't know what else to do! Am dreading sorting the hoover bag out later... :(

oh god, dont sort it, just chuck the bugger out! I've got gooselumps of horror thinking about it.

Yes chuck the hoover bag out NOW and spray the carpet with some disinfectant. Clean it as best you can and maybe sone fly killer into the crevices, that'll do it.

Oh the bag went out- don't worry. It is now wrapped in 3 carrier bags and in a bigger bin outside !
