Facebook "Signature"

I've recently bought a HTC Android mobile. Lots of my friends seem to be posting on Facebook via their mobiles as there is small print below their comments with the words "sent from my android phone" and other similar messages.
How do I configure my mobile to do the same. It seems to work like the automated signature you can put in emails.

I think its an application of facebook that you have to download

put htc in the search box and it should pull up a htc app

My HTC automatically sends a message when I am on emails (I don't use FB on it) - it pops in "sent from my mobile phone". Perhaps yours does too? You don't see it in the messages as you type them.

I thought it automatically did it if you updated your status etc from your phone :S x

I don't think it does it if you are just using the internet to access fb on your phone. If you do go on to fb and scroll down to the bottom of the page it should say something like "Install facebook on your SonyEricsson and browse faster". Well that's what it says on mine obviously lol. If you select that it should install the app :)

cazzz1975, I've just tried putting HTC in the FB searchbox, but apart from pages to do with various models, nothing like I'm looking for comes up. I've tried posting via the phone and it works fine, but it doesn't leave a "signature" like "sent from my android phone". I've tried updating my staus via the phone but that doesn't make any difference either.

It's all very odd. Might it be that I need to somehow insert the message I wish to leave on the phone? It's a HTC Sensation.

ah I apologise, I downloaded an app when I registered my phone on FB, I have had 2 different makes of phones in the last few years and the process was the same, I assumed it would be similar on the htc.

karenmac60. Thanks for the link. I've looked through the app details but it doesn't seem to do anything more than the version installed on my Sensation. There's no mention of the ability to add a signature.

As has already been said, you don't have to create or insert your own signature, as long as you are posting or updating FB from the facebook app on your phone (not by logging into the website via your phone, the actual app) then it adds that automatically. No idea why yours doesn't work.
