just watched the start of the football and it was amazing how many of them didnt sing the national anthem, but saying that most of them werent british anyway!

Guess that's why but then again many people dislike the national anthem here, you will now start a debate on what tune should be used etc, so perhaps I should start it off by saying, "Land of Hope and Glory" (wishful thinking haha) or "Rule Britannia" or even Jerusalem...over to others lol

Which football, Gina - you say "weren't British" but each of the countries in the UK has its own anthem, some people won't sing the other anthems.

I think Gina means Man U v Man City and most of the players are foreign.

other countries have proper bakery anthems, eg Bread of Heaven for Wales and Flour of Scotland. Perhaps England's should be I Knead the Dough.

Most of the players for Man City and United aren't British...Try telling the Americans not to sing their anthem.
