Yet again, parking has become an issue with the man next door. Had the van parked on the drive and my car across the dropped curve yesterday - got note on car saying 'dont park here, what if I wanted to get my trail out, etc'. Man does not have a dropped curve and the police told us (last time they came round about the parking that we could prk tint outside his house if we wanted to).
Now that my husband has gone to work, bloke next door has moved his car and trailer from his drive (round the corner where he is not in any ones way) and parked them outside his house. Opposite house are having their drive done so there are building materials, etc on pavement and slightly on the road (fair play - they have got to go somewhere and it is only for a short time).
Man next door knows I can't get past his car because of this stuff a d is trying to force me to knock his door to ask him to move so he can have a go at me (he doesn't have a go at men - that's why he has waited for my husband to go to work).
Why be so childish? Don't know if I should ring the police about it (they are getting used to coming round about the parking but I have never complained before) or wait for my husband to have a word with him (which might result in the police coming around for a different reason).
Sorry, rant over (ps - I rained on his parade by going to the local shop - that's probably really annoyed him.)

Sure it's not as convenient if he can't park directly outside our house, but them's the breaks i guess, and it's not like he can't park anywhere. We have a row of six houses and the parking can fit 3, at a push 4 cars in. We are so lucky that neighbour 1 has a space round the back of his house, neighbours 2 and 3 use their garages, neighbour 4 dosen't have a car and neighbour five has a little nova - that leaves 2 of the spaces for me and him usually
I tell you what Sherrard, what I posted was a genuine observation about you getting upset about things which I don't think would upset most people and what I suggested to you was suggested in the spirit of being helpful and in having seen silly trivial things like this escalate into all out war because people got wound up about what was essentially nothing in the first place, but since you seem to take exception to my suggestion that it's a rant and you are winding him up as much as he's winding you up and have taken it personally, I'll refrain from posting on any of your queries as I don't want to upset you further by disagreeing with your view of the world.
sherrardk couldn't you upload a picture of what you mean so we could understand it better? Not whilst the neighbor is in of course.
"Because he genuinely is a nut case - the landlord warned us about him when we moved in." Why did you move in knowing that your neighbors crazy? Hope the landlord ask for a reduced rent on these grounds.
