Riots in London

I just had an email from a friend in Trinidad telling me how sad it was for them to see the riots in London.
I think that anybody that sees them feels sad....young kids stealing, houses in flames..I keep thinking about the "normal people" living in the middle of this in their homes with their children...all the noise and frightening things outside.

I can't say more except that my thoughts are with you.

Yeah, I can see from the answers that we're all feeling the same....
It's all over the news in Spain they are amazed, and the only rioting here is when the British uni students come to Salou and wreck it every June!
living in the capital does make you wonder how many have a clue as to what it's really like being here, not just from the recent riots, and imagine that some people around the world, especially in US must wonder what has happened to Britain, a place many consider civilised, little do they know.
