I did cringe just a little yesterday morning as I was flicking through the news channels, I came across a CNN report on the riots and felt a bit embarrassed to have our fine country being judged by the Americans. Then i flipped over to fox news, and the story of those 20 soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan, and that really put things in perspective for me. I know it's not Britain's problem that American soldiers were killed, but I just thought that the idiots that were causing so much trouble here should see that and feel guilty for tearing up their own communities while on the other side of the world there are families that have to bury their sons, husbands, brothers etc because those men died fighting in the name of their country. And then I felt even more ashamed.
