What if they have a holiday booked abroad or are on holiday - how does that work? Would you be miffed if you were a copper and told your holiday was off?

Nope, as they will offer three days off for every day that I have worked, and a similar financial "benefit" if I already had a vacation to Benidorm booked.

Forget Benidorm, Bermuda here I come.

i do know, that if a police officer is required for court while on holiday they can be asked to return

Normally, however Anne, when the COurt date is fixed, the officer's dates to avoid are handed to the Court.
