How strange - I saw the post when it came up, I could be sure there was an answer option then.
A closed question but the answer is always always fill in and inform DVLA.
How odd - thought you were implying that the question was iffy, didn't notice that there wasn't an 'answer' box when I saw it earlier.
That's what I thought, mamya - it's your responsibility to inform them you've sold it, otherwise you're liable, as the OP has now found out.

But why would it be closed mamya?
And I would tell the Swiss to go and yodel for their money.
When I just posted my comment, it brought up the other question while my answer to your question was submitted.
I think only the Ed can close a question - perhaps there are legal implications in the question.
How odd and I read the whole post too.
No idea why it is closed but the seller is king and always fill in the slip. no matter what the dealer says (speak as car dealer in the past)
I wanted to say, but couldnt! That the problem is in the start of the story.
"He said do not fill in the change of ownership panel as i am a dealer and do not want it to show an extra owner."
At that point you should have still gone ahead and filled a change of ownership panel. You can tell DVLA the whole story but doubt if they will be sympathetic.

^^ Agree. I think the poster was lucky not to have ended up in more trouble than they are with such a dodgy "dealer". Get the slip sent off now and be pleased that nothing worse happened.
what is really odd - I just checked - is that if you go to that question now, you CAN answer it. Woss going on?!
Question Author
All very odd, maybe Ed's fixed it. Thanks Boxtops, I've popped over to the thread too.
