On a lighter note

We are off to Chester Zoo tomorrow, got the stuff for a picnic so hopefully will have a nice day and five happy kids. (Down side is that we are having to set the alarm to get up as we haven't got up before 8.30 in weeks.)

On a slightly dodgy note, my husband gets the tickets and sort of swoops his arm around in a vague manner to indicate who he is paying for in the hope that the ticket person will think thing 1 and thing 2 and under three (and therefore free). I pretend I don't know what he is doing but it always makes me feel uneasy.
Hi all - zoo was brilliant, well worth the drive.
Hi Lore - zoo was fab but it is huge!!! The seven and five year old were flagging towards the end of the day so I am ally pleased we took the single buggies for thing 1 and thing 2. Queue a bit slow getting in (wanted addresses for Gift Aid) and the butterfly house was a bit poor. The map is a bit vague and the sign-posting is a bit dodgy so you need to make sure you know where you are going before you start off. Everything else was brilliant - the monorail and water bus are £2 for adults and £1.50 for kids (we did both but the water bus goes round the back of some enclosures but the monorail is great as you get a bird's eye view of the lions, etc). Hope you have as good a time as we did today.
