I recently bought a Packard Bell laptop without doing my usual research, and whe in did look at opinion on the internet found that it was not recommended. However i am getting on famously with it (Windows 7), but cannot refresh my page. I expected F5 to work as it always has done before, but my F5 just seems oto disable the touch pad when using a mouse. I went on the PB help page and was told that for an answer to my question of how to refresh the page I would ave to pay £28 what a cheek!!!!! I have tried on here before and was told to use right click or the two arrows at the right of the address bar. Both of these things work but not on the Bingo site which i use so i wonder if there is another way. Janet
If that works there is either a BIOS setting you need to change to tell the laptop to swap the main function of the F keys between the main and the extended functions. or there may even be a key on the keyboard that does the same thing.
Thank you both, yes you have solved my problem thank you very much. The BIOS thingy sounded interesting but a bit complicated for me so since Fn and F5 works I will stick with it. thanks again x Janet
