Can anyone help me. I cant remember the name of this series. It featured a helicopter police team which included a young lady with a most distictive laugh. Set in USA and shown 1970/80s.

Both Blue Thunder and Airwolf were mid-eighties so it could be either.

or are you thinking of Whirlybirds. This was shown in USA late 50's nbut repeated on the Beeb early 70's (see wiki for more)

I distinctly remember Whirlybirds being shown on a Saturday on children's television in the late 50s.
