A few years ago we went to Fife on holiday and I remember calling into Glenrothes for some food shopping. Now I see that my Amazon purchases are dispatched from there and I'm curious to know whether the new warehouse has changed the town. Has it created plenty of work for people and boosted business for other traders, or is it a just blot on the landscape?

Its a stellar piece of architecture, maidup, probably designed by James Stirling of Stirling(??? can anybody verify), and really beautifies the Fife landscape, almost as inspirational as its turgid MP, Lindsay Roy.

Ahh DT - as he died in 1992, I'm guessing that wasn't one of his. I can see where the confusion came in though - here's another of his buildings:

Oh well lets hope the boundary hedge grows quickly DT.
here's another from my old alma mater in Fife - a real eyesore on the landscape and it could easily be an Amazon warehouse.

DT, Andrew Melville looks nothing like Amazon.

Incidentally, I am not aware of any local impact from the Amazon depot other than you get your deliveries faster.
as you may have picked up, gen, we were comparing the merits of the awful JS with the mundaneness of the Amazon edifice.........
