charged and arrested
My hubby was arrested and charged with the theft of coal logs and wood from a neighbours shed on Saturday. We are still in a state of shock as the period is from MAY 2010 to present day. To start with the witnesses who say he did it can't give a date when they saw him and apparently they had a coversation with him. The fact is my hubby was off sick most of last year with depression and anxiety and major panic attacks. The neighbours who have made the statement terrorised us and vandalised our garden and have verbally abused us. At the time we ignored them as for me getting hubby well was my priority. My policy was to ignore and they will get fed up.Hubby was completely shell shocked and didnt have a duty solicitor thinking it was all going to end. I have dug out coal receipts proving we buy and pay for coal regualary plus a statement from our wood merchant. We even paid to get medical records as physically he could hardly get out of bed, cried all day and was prescribed medication. for us its lies and rocked our quiet existance. I am a teacher and hubby is in insurance. court is next friday and yes its going to cost a lot of money to prove he didnt do it. We can't sleep with worry and our reputations are shattered. please advise. we are still waiting for a solicitors appt as they are very busy.

hello EXDC and many thanks for your kind advice. we have listenened to the cd a nd the witnesses say they saw him at different times the wife says 11pm and husband 12pm yet they declare they were out walking the dog together. They declare they had 10 minute conversation with my husband while he had armfulls of wood which is strange because we haven't spoke to them after a dispute in the garden. However they cannot name the day or month this happened. The issue with coal is he is supposed to have stolen 6 x 50kg bags from a coal shed. Hubby was down to 9 stone last year and to steal that amout of coal hed need to wheel it half way down the street in front of a row of terraced cottages to gain access to the back... according to them he stole coal and yes I go and ring the coal man he delivers to me and I give him a cheque. this is like a living nightmare and even on Saturday we feel totally worn down with the neighbours. we cannot speak to them due to bail conditions yet they parked their cars so close to ours we couldn't get on Saturday to go shopping. i had the good sense to take a photo.

Hi Eddie adjourned til Jan 5th.... My husband pleaded not guilty. we have several reliable witnesses to bring to court and the solicitor has said I am chief witness. we came out of court in stunned silence and then cried unconcontroably. My husband is suspended from work on full pay( FAS)guidelines.. his boss came to the court and put his hands in his head and was appaled. North Yorkshire police don't operate like city police.( I originate from Bham ) Must be seem to be doing something other than drinking tea in macdonalds. (our police staion is manned part time.)
Now I have to keep a careful eye on my husband otherwise his health could slip and be too much for him to cope with. All our neighbours are behind us and are willing to state how awful our neighbours are and how much misery they have inflicted on us.

Eddie thank you for your kind words and concern it is greatly appreciated. I have just discovered some rather vile entries on Facebook now by my neighbour (she didn't have her account locked) which frankly are disgusting. I wouldn't mind but the day she writes we are in Egypt on holiday. why are people so absolutely vile? Hubby and I are quiet passive people who te conflict and this equates to bullying. Comes to something when the teacher is being bullied but who can I go to? Thanks again for your help. Have you some legal experience?
