I don't really understand the letters bit of your clue (!) but there is a film that was made in 1933 called Meet My Sister which is what you could say when you introduce someone and also 'sister' is a 'family' member???!!!!

Thank you but letters are an anagram of the whole sentence Your answer does sound good but I think there is something to do with films in the sentence too.

Hi, although I can't solve it for you, could the familiar introduction be "Once upon a time" ?
There was a film called Once upon a time in America in 1933 according to Google, perhaps you can do a search for the soundtrack listings.
Unfortunately, I am too busy at the moment to help further.

p.s. I meant the film was called "Once upon a time in America"
and not, a film called "once upon a time" in America.
(although the letters you have given, would mean one "m" short ??????
