when I was training to be a nursery nurse (thirty years ago) our favourate word was nomenclature we tried to use it as often as we could

Deemed and tantamount are two of my favourites because, in effect, they make what ISN'T the case seem as if it IS!

good Wonk words Quizmonster - have any others got a word that
"Rings their Bell" - Saccharine and Mellifluous ,are both "sweet sounding" :-)
