do you spend more on coffee

than you do on your annual electricity bill. There is a report out that we spend more on coffee, either from costa packet, or megabucks, you know the skinnny innie laaateees stuff, than we do on electricity. I worked out how many cups i drink a day, and no i'm not saying, but per week its horrendous, and not the shop bought stuff either, wouldn't waste my money, it still works out a small fortune.

Ok, I have read some of the past posts and now understand a little of the switch from coffee to sanitary towels, I was getting a bit worried.

No. I like an espresso after a meal but other than that I do not buy from Costa, etc. I am always amazed to see so many people clutching their cardboard cups on the way to work as if their life depended on it - also in cinemas.

I never buy coffee when we are out - I always opt for hot chocolate, with cream and a flake (and I then add extra sugar to it), lovely.

Coffee is nectar - pure and simple :) Even the amount of coffee I imbibe does not outweigh the cost of my electric.

Mike - did you not have to ask for No 1 or No 2 ? ;) I used to get them in the local haberdashery - the nice lady always wrapped the packet in newspaper.

I work with a few Romanian girls, when they make coffee, they make it in a glass with 3 heaped spoons of instant coffee powder and a stir it for about 5 minutes and then always keep the teaspoon in the glass and keep stirring it, very strange!!
