Lost bookmarks

Just got laptop back from being cleaned etc and got favourites ok but bookmarks have vanished. My home page is igoogle if that's any help. Please help.

You're confusing us!
'Favorites' (with that horrid American spelling) is the name that Microsoft uses for what everyone else calls 'bookmarks'. So they're the same thing! (i.e. "got favourites ok but bookmarks have vanished" doesn't make any sense to me!).
It would help to know which browser you're using and what, exactly, you have (and haven't) got!
