i'm trying to sell a car on ebay, anyone got any pearls of wisdom that they can share to make it as easy as possible for me? I was thinking of doing a classified ad which costs about £15 plus vat and you can choose whether it is on there for 10 or 28 days. logic tells me that 28 days gives me more chance of people seeing it but say someone sees my item, will they wait right until the end to make a bid on a classified ad??!! I dont really want to wait 28 days!! Thanks in advance!
Polish it and put take pics and put it in at £1 for starting bid - put a note saying it is being avertised elsewhere - so it maybe withdrawn from ebay - if it does not reach you required price on ebay - say it has sold else where
Thanks for the answers, i was thinking of putting it on there as a classified ad though as i think it will cost less for the ad? Do you think auction is a better way to go?
D97x7 - cobblers! It would sell straightaway to the first person to offer the requested price. An ebay Classified Ad is NOT an auction. You put a fixed price just like on Autotrader - whoever buys, buys at the price you put!
If the car is Legal, why don't you put some luminous (A4) ads in your car with ALL the details, that will save you money, On a point, a clean car sells so make an effort. when you give details be honest otherwise the sale may backfire on you.
also beware of wind up merchants, e mailing u saying they can pick up cash today whats your lowest price? and never hearing from them again, obviously hoping to get it at a ridiculos price. Also, some people think its funny to keep emailing u with stupid questions, that can usually be answered if they read the advert!!! So annoying
