Can I grow a passion flower outside in winter?

I bought a passion flower pot plant which I kept in the conservatory. It grew so fast I put it out in the garden for the summer. Will I be able to leave it out all winter so that I can grow it up a trellis in the spring and do I need to cut it back for the winter ?

yes I have them just trim them back a little as they soon take over and yes they are hardy.

Yes I have them outside too althugh they did take a battering in the last winter and I lost a few.

I lost my 12 foot high beautiful cordlynne with last years harsh winter but passion flower was ok.

depends on the varety only the common one is really hardy the others are better potted and brought into a greenhouse of conservatory

I have some Passion Flower plants outside but I did lose a new one this winter. It was south facing and doing welll but must have been zapped by the frost. An old one recovered so you might be lucky if it is well established in its pot. (The one I lost was only small when I planted it)
