Tramadol and Ibuprofen

I have been prescribed Tramadol 2 x 50 mg four times a day which I am taking every four hours. I find after about 2 1/2 to 3 hours the pain is returning so would it be ok to take Ibuprofen as well?

You may find if you take 1 Tramadol every two hours it will work better. I take 1 tramadol and one ibuprofen/paracetamol and find it is the best way to stop the pain coming back.
